It's game day!
The 7th graders have been hard at work making their toolboxes in STEM class! First they had a review on reading the ruler then they learned how to use the miter saw, jig saw and drill press.
The horticulture class made a "Mug" design in class today. They did a great job!
Golf update:
We started beginning band today! These Wildcat musicians are part of the double reed section. One is playing bassoon and one is playing oboe! It's going to be a great year in double reed class!
We are off to a great start in 8th grade literature class. A few August highlights include edible Olympic torches to commemorate an annotating and summarizing activity, and group collaboration on a TED Talk.
It's a busy week for high school sports!

The 7th grade business exploratory students worked this week cutting and pressing all of the complimentary buttons for MS and HS fall athletics. Coaches have your buttons, so if you didn't get it today, ask them for it on Tuesday. Buttons and magnets are available to order for just $5 each. Fill out the included form and return ASAP to help these students learn about tracking and processing orders. Go Cats!

River Ridge's Creative Writing class got a visitor on Friday, Aug. 30. Mr. Dickerson's class met Casper, a Great Pyrenees mix, who was brought in by Ms. Lilly Dickerson, a third-grade teacher at Shullsburg Elementary School. After meeting the dog and learning more about him, the students had a narrative writing assignment about him.

The RRSM Varsity golf team got their first win of the season over Galena by 49 strokes. Sam Rife shot 38 to secure the medalist spot, and Joseph Winter shot a 39 for runner-up. The JV lost by only 5 strokes where Aydn Travis was named meet runner-up with a 49.

The RRSM varsity golf team lost to Forreston by only 6 strokes. Joeseph Winter shot a team low 39 and was named the runner-up medalist. The JV won their first meet of the year with Rori Distler being named medalist after a round of 49.
