In art class last week, our kindergarten artists finished their Halloween cats! They practiced cutting and gluing skills as they put all the pieces together to create spooky cats. It's awesome to watch these little artists build their skills with each project! 🧡
Out 6th graders are hitting the road with "The Hitchhiker" by Lucille Fletcher! They're discovering that sometimes the scariest part of a story isn't what you see...it's what you can't explain!😱👻

🎃 Our 2nd graders created Patterned Halloween Wildcats! Inspired by the book "A Bad Case of Stripes," students explored how lines and shapes can be combined to create patterns. They put their learning into practice by designing their own festive, patterned wildcats just in time for Halloween! 🧡
Our volleyball team heads into Regionals versus Galena tonight at West Carroll (Mt. Carroll) at 6pm. Go Cats! 🏐
The 8th grade STEM class finished out their quarter with the Engineering Challenge. They built towers out of spaghetti noodles after looking at how the tallest buildings on the world are constructed and designed. Congratulations to Tyra for building the tallest free-standing structure!
We had a great trip to the 99th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis! We heard an address from the US Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, and from keynote motivational speaker Scott McKain. Students visited over 450 agriculture businesses and colleges at the Trade Show and College Fair in addition to attending a student workshop. We also toured the South Side Landfill, the largest landfill in the US that captures and sells the methane gas produced in the decomposition process.
