The Horticulture class completed their wreaths today! They did a great job from the first step of pruning the evergreens around school to putting the finishing touches on the finished product.

Staying properly hydrated is crucial for students' health, focus, and overall energy levels, helping them perform their best in the classroom.

You are welcome to send a water bottle for your child to use throughout the school day.

Here are a few important reminders:

  • Water Only: Please send the bottle filled only with plain water to keep the classroom clean and avoid sticky spills.

  • Label Clearly: Be sure to label the water bottle with your child's name to prevent mix-ups.

  • Refill Stations: We have filtered water bottle filling stations available throughout the school where students can safely top up their bottles as needed.

A simple, lightweight bottle that seals tightly works best.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students healthy and hydrated!

Back in October the Foods Class learned about Pork production and how to cook with pork. Student went on a pork farm to table field trip to Lena to visit a local pork producer, AJ Lena Maid Meats, and Lena Brewing Company. Throughout the trip they learned about how pigs are raised, processed and use or cooked in the restaurant industry. When we returned from the trip students created a Pork Birria Ramen using pork loin. Thank you to those business and individuals for helping our students learn outside the classroom and thank you to the Illinois Pork Producers for providing us with a grant to be able to purchase pork locally to cook in class.
