Second grade wrapped up their Civil War unit with a two part field trip to Galena. Students visited Grant's park, Grant's home, a trolley ride around Galena, the Galena Museum, Blacksmith shop, and lunch at Happy Joes. Thank you to The Galena Foundation and our PTO for funding this amazing trip.

It's an exciting day at River Ridge! Not only is today the last day of school for the Class of 2025, but we are also just ONE WEEK away from honoring them at the Senior Awards Ceremony! Be sure to join us on Thursday, May 15 at 9:00am to watch our seniors receive thousands of dollars in scholarships that will help fund their future endeavors.

Last week, our third graders read about an all-inclusive playground. The classes decided they wanted to help out by having a coin drive. Next week, we will be collecting Pennies for Our Playground!
We would love for you to send in pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters as well as dollars. These all inclusive playgrounds are worth every penny!
