The 7th Grade Business Exploratory class got into the Halloween spirit by researching dead brands and building tombstones with the details of their demise. Hand drawn and colored logos were added to complete each headstone. We'll build upon these business concepts as we progress through the quarter.
High school students decorated classroom doors and handed out candy to elementary students as they paraded their costumes through the halls. 🎃

The Mobile Museum of Tolerance visited River Ridge High School Wednesday, Oct. 30. Students from Mr. Dickerson’s English II class learned about digital media literacy. 7th graders are currently wrapping up the play, A Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry. While this play is typically read in high school, it is now part of our middle school curriculum. Elementary staff has been celebrating an underground spirit week. Yesterday was dress in pink for breast cancer awareness month. Today was drink from anything but a cup day! It's been a hoot getting the kids' reactions when they figure out what the grown ups are up to this week!

On Friday, October 25, middle school students enjoyed spending the day at the Putnam Museum in Davenport for their 1st quarter merit activity.
The Galena/East Dubuque/River Ridge Boys' Cross Country Team placed 6th Saturday in the regional held at Belvidere North. They advance to sectionals! Congratulations!!! 🏃🏃♂️🏃

Last week, Miss Lieb's 4th grade art class learned about shapes and forms. Students built sculptures out of straws and jacks.

MS art classes competed against each other to construct the highest and strongest towers in only 8 minutes, using:
• (8) plastic take-out containers
• (1) roll of masking tape
• scissors
