Congratulations to the FFA Greenhand Quiz Bowl team on their first place finish at the section contest last night! They are now qualified for the State competition that occurs in June during the State FFA Convention in Springfield. We are very proud of our team; Carson Dodd, Jason Lucas, Wyatt Ritchie, Ella Dittmar, Hayden Diehl and Bronx Gonzalez.

Thank you to everyone who donated to this year's FFA canned food drive! We were able to donate 658 pounds of non-perishable items, which is 200 pounds more than last year, to the Elizabeth Food Basket! The third graders collected the most donations, they celebrated with ice cream sundaes.



The middle school wrapped up the Turkey Trot Week with hot apple 🍎 cider, the Turkey Trot Run, and 1st Quarter Awards Day! The final community derive project results will be shared next week!

5th grade went bowling yesterday in Stockton at the end of their PE bowling unit! Everyone had a good time tallying their scores and throwing strikes! Congratulations go to Danny and Maddie as individual high scorers and Beverly, Alivia & Aaliyah as top scoring team!










Foods Classes were busy in the kitchen making treats and goodies for PT conferences. They were able to feed staff and teachers both nights of conferences including cookies, apple desserts, walking tacos and a baked potato bar. We were so busy, Mrs. Koester almost forgot to snap a few pictures!

Halloween brought some fun to FACS classes including dirt and worms, apple mouths (thank you to orchard landing for the crisp apples) and guessing melted candy.

Prior to the pork trip students learned about raising hogs, cooking and different cuts of meat. After the pork trip students put their skill to practice by making some yummy pork breakfast burgers with local bacon and pork sausage. Thank you to the Illinois Pork producers for the opportunity to share pork with our students!
