River Ridge's Academic Bowl team--from left, Lucius Mendenhall, Nick Cobine, Katie Cobine, Elaina Doms, and Aizlynn Griffiths--beat out 14 other teams to earn fourth place at Conference Saturday, Jan. 25.

River Ridge Speech team had a successful tournament in Galena on Saturday, January 28th. Piper Golden and Sydnie Bertucci placed 5th in humorous duet acting, Genevieve Kidwell placed 3rd in humorous interpretation, Harmony Packard placed 2nd in dramatic interpretation, Allie Karberg placed 5th in radio and Natalie Keleher placed 3rd in impromptu and 5th in poetry. Now on to to Rockford next Saturday!

High School Students participated in the 2nd quarter incentive last week with an afternoon of fun. Qualifying students were able to choose from different activities including games, movies, an inflatable obstacle course, movies and more! At the end of the day students enjoyed ice cream donated by Three Sisters Ice cream Shoppe!

The animal science class did a lab today testing the strength of eggs as a part of the Poultry unit. They used textbooks to balance on top of the eggs as a weight. One group got one egg to hold ten pounds before it broke!

Timberlake Playhouse is holding Youth Auditions for their summer series.

The FFA Chapter is selling strawberries! These berries are sent direct from Florida, fresh and ready for you to eat in desserts, smoothies and as a healthy snack. A half flat, 4 quarts, is $18 and a whole flat (8 quarts) is $30. Orders are due to any FFA members or Mrs. Trone by January 31st. Delivery will be the first week of March. Thank you for your support!

It's game day!

Right before winter break the RRMS Science Club completed their dissection projects.... owl pellets, cow eyes, and frogs! Their favorite part was what they discovered in the frog's' stomach.... Many more adventures coming soon! A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers!










RRMS Students enjoyed their second quarter merit trip last week. Bowling and pizza followed by a movie and popcorn... always a crowd pleaser!
