Today was a wonderful day for our middle and high school choirs! They were able to be cliniced by Stephanie Klein, professor of vocal music education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville! Students had a blast with Ms. Klein, and are excited for her to come back and work with them again! Thank you for a wonderful day of music making!

Last week, the Galena Rotary Club met and held an honorary luncheon for area sophomores who have shown growth since beginning high school. Each quarter, area schools nominate one sophomore to represent their district and River Ridge was proud to nominate Gracie Allen! Gracie was nominated by Mrs. Trone and then voted on by high school staff. Gracie is a kind, patient student who plays a significant role in River Ridge's FFA chapter as its Sentinel, and we are so excited that she was our first Rotary Student of this year. Congratulations, Gracie! 🎉

It's a wrap for the 2024 RRSM girls' golf season. Sarah Winter competed at sectionals today and shot a 91. Unfortunately, Sarah fell 1 stroke short of qualifying for the state tournament. The girls had an outstanding season, and we look forward to next season.

Last week at River Ridge HS included THREE field trips dedicated to college and career planning! On Wednesday, a small group of students traveled to FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport to learn about a wide variety of healthcare related careers. Thursday had the sophomores traveling to the CTE and Carroll Innovative Molds in Milledgeville to learn about manufacturing careers from over a dozen local companies. Finally, the juniors went north to UW-Platteville on Friday for a campus visit and the Wisconsin Education Fair, which featured over 100 different colleges, technical training programs, and branches of the military. Our students all had great experiences, and we're thankful for all of the opportunities to do some learning and career planning outside the classroom!
