Seniors in College literature read Bram Stoker’s Dracula recently. To know the original is to better understand any spin-offs or allusions to it. For extra credit, students enjoyed a movie night where they watched the 1992 adaptation, with its unique transitions and well-known actors. Twenty-six seniors attended! Mrs. M even treated them with pizza!

Juniors attended the county-wide manufacturing day and enjoyed a visit to Elkay in Savanna, where they had hands-on experience for all. Students toured the plant and saw the impressive equipment and technology used throughout. Students also learned about career opportunities within manufacturing facilities including accounting, engineering, sales, HR, quality control, etc. Fun fact: Elkay workers on the line change what they are working on every 2 hours to break up monotony.
***They mentioned a summer program for students, as well. Applications are online at Elkay.com or students can email Sarah Guenzler (RR alum) for more information. Sarah.guenzler@elkay.com.
