Senior class trip 2024
The seniors had an amazing trip to Colorado. What a great group of young adults! We know how amazing our River Ridge students are but it is always nice to hear so many people on our journey express the same thing. Here are a few highlights from the trip
River Ridge is beyond EXCITED to announce an anonymous donation of $50,000.00+ to cover the cost of 12 classroom "Clear Touch" devices. These devices are 65 inch interactive computers. The "Clear Touch" devices create countless interactive opportunities for our students. The devices are also portable and allow teachers and students to move throughout the building. This donation will complete what WAS to be a several year process of equipping 3rd thru 12th grade classrooms. River Ridge is so thankful to have this type of support from our community.
The 8th graders had an amazing time on their 8th grade trip to the Kalahari in the Wisconsin Dells on Friday! Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible for them. 2 short weeks and they will officially be done with middle school! ❤️🥹

Thank you to The American Legion for coming to speak to our 4th and 5th graders about the Pledge of Allegiance, our American flag and serving in the military. Students received comic books about these topics and asked questions about the military and patriotism. What a great discussion! Thank you!

It's here! The Music Department received their second place IHSA State Trophy and the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Mixed Chorus received their Division 1 plaques! Additionally, there were 6 students that took "string" events to solo and ensemble contest and earned us second place is the state for strings in solo and ensemble! Congratulations on a terrific and successful year!
In Art class, 5th grade began drawing their self portraits today on canvas boards. After this first step, they will paint with acrylic.
The River Ridge FFA chapter hosted Ag Day for elementary students today. There were various stations that represented different aspects of agriculture including the greenhouse, a petting zoo, ice cream, hoppy horses and the ag education room. The elementary kids had a blast and the FFA kids seemed to enjoy themselves too!
Congratulations to Sawyer Fry on being elected as Section One Secretary at last night's banquet! Way to go, we are proud to have him as a member of the officer team that represents the 15 schools in our section!
