Senior class trip 2024 The seniors had an amazing trip to Colorado. What a great group of young adults! We know how amazing our River Ridge students are but it is always nice to hear so many people on our journey express the same thing. Here are a few highlights from the trip

River Ridge is beyond EXCITED to announce an anonymous donation of $50,000.00+ to cover the cost of 12 classroom "Clear Touch" devices. These devices are 65 inch interactive computers. The "Clear Touch" devices create countless interactive opportunities for our students. The devices are also portable and allow teachers and students to move throughout the building. This donation will complete what WAS to be a several year process of equipping 3rd thru 12th grade classrooms. River Ridge is so thankful to have this type of support from our community.

The 8th graders had an amazing time on their 8th grade trip to the Kalahari in the Wisconsin Dells on Friday! Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible for them. 2 short weeks and they will officially be done with middle school! ❤️🥹

Summer band forms are due back to Mr. Dickman by the end of the week! Lessons will start the week after the 4th of July. You can send in a hard copy of the form or an electronic copy! :)

Don't forget to check out Spring Fling in Elizabeth tomorrow from 10-3. There will be plenty of activities for the kiddos including a petting zoo, bounce house, balloon art, games, and ice cream. After you're done at Purple Park, head into town and support the local businesses while you hunt for your child's beautiful coloring!

Tonight's (5/2) NUIC girls track meet at River Ridge is being postponed until tomorrow (5/3).

Thank you to The American Legion for coming to speak to our 4th and 5th graders about the Pledge of Allegiance, our American flag and serving in the military. Students received comic books about these topics and asked questions about the military and patriotism. What a great discussion! Thank you!

Juniors and seniors enjoyed banquet and prom this past weekend.

Hello Parents and thank you to those of you who have registered your students for the 24-25 school year. For those of you who haven't yet registered, now is the time! Registration will close on Friday evening (5/3). Emails have been sent to you with directions for completing the registration and payment is not needed until July. Please help us plan for your students by getting your online registration done today!

It's here! The Music Department received their second place IHSA State Trophy and the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Mixed Chorus received their Division 1 plaques! Additionally, there were 6 students that took "string" events to solo and ensemble contest and earned us second place is the state for strings in solo and ensemble! Congratulations on a terrific and successful year!

In Art class, 5th grade began drawing their self portraits today on canvas boards. After this first step, they will paint with acrylic.

The River Ridge FFA chapter hosted Ag Day for elementary students today. There were various stations that represented different aspects of agriculture including the greenhouse, a petting zoo, ice cream, hoppy horses and the ag education room. The elementary kids had a blast and the FFA kids seemed to enjoy themselves too!

Congratulations to Sawyer Fry on being elected as Section One Secretary at last night's banquet! Way to go, we are proud to have him as a member of the officer team that represents the 15 schools in our section!

5th grade is coming to the end of an ELA unit on Native Americans. Mrs Albrecht and Mrs Benson collaborated with Mrs Laity and students created a Google site where they displayed their research about various tribes across the United States. Today students started presenting their learning and sites to the rest of their class. What an exciting combination of technology, research and learning from peers!

RRSM SENIOR NIGHT!!!

Lots of learning in Elementary today! 1st graders created Google slideshows about their favorite animals and presented their research to their classroom friends. They wrote sentences, found pictures, selected fonts and shared their knowledge. In preschool and kindergarten, Jacquelynn Albrecht, RR alum, parent and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service officer, presented lots of info about insects! Students loved learning today!
