Elementary P.E. - Mr. Knauer

I earned my associates degree from Highland Community College and my bachelor's from Northern Illinois University.  I spent my first four years in education teaching in Huntley, Illinois and coaching baseball.  My family and I decided to move back home in 2004, and I have been teaching here ever since.  In my free time, I like playing cards, golfing, and fishing.  My favorite sports teams are the Cubs, Bears, and Bulls.  I received my Master's Degree from the United States Sports Academy in 2010.  I am currently the Head Baseball Coach and Fresh-Soph Basketball Coach.  I was inducted into the Northwest Illinois Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.

My Philosophy Statement:
To promote positive attitudes towards physical activity and healthy living through movement, with emphasis placed on self-improvement, cooperation, and sportsmanship.
