Earth Science is taught to the sixth graders. This year we will
be exploring oceanography, geology, meteorology, and astronomy.
We will be beginning the year studying why water is important,
freshwater, freshwater resources, ocean motions, and ocean zones.

7th Grade - Life Science
Life Science will be studied by the seventh graders. The year will
be divided up into four main units: environmental science/ecology, genetics, microbiology/botany, and anatomy/zoology. We will be kicking off the year with
environmental science, which will consist of populations and communities, ecosystems and biomes, living resources, land, soil, air, water resources, and energy sources.

8th Grade - Physical Science
The eighth graders will be studying physical science, which consists of chemistry
and physics. We will be working on chemistry for the entire first semester
and physics the second semester. The topics of interest for chemistry are:
chemical reactions, matter and its changes, atoms, elements, compounds,
the periodic table, and acids and bases.
