Pre-Algebra is an introductory exposure to some primary algebraic skills including solving equations and inequalities, functions and graphing.  Prerequisites for this class include successful completion of 5th grade Math and high math scores on the ISAT tests.  Students in this class should have strong arithmetic and problem solving skills.

Sixth Grade Math addresses the needs of students that have demonstrated low mathematical readiness in elementary school.  The class is structured to provide an opportunity for students to be successful with previously unlearned concepts and to use these newly learned concepts to continue their mathematical investigations.

Prerequisite for this course is successful completion of 6th grade Pre-Algebra.  This course is a two year course.  The Algebra book used is a two volume book.  The first volume covers topics including exploring equations, solving linear equations, graphing relations and functions and solving linear equalities.

Prerequisite for this course is successful completion of 6th Grade Math.  Seventh Grade Math allows the student to make a smooth transition from arithmetic to algebra.  Students will solidify their arithmetic skills and will begin to use these skills in their introduction of algebra.

Prerequisite for this course is successful completion of 7th grade Algebra I.  This course uses Volume two from the Algebra I book.  Students will expand on their knowledge through exploring Polynomials, quadratic and exponential functions, and rational and radical expressions.

Prerequisite for this course is successful completion of 7th Grade Math with a solid understanding of basic algebra concepts.  Eight Grade Math students will concentrate on introductory concepts of algebra.

8th Grade Math

Prerequisite for this course is successful completion of 7th Grade Math.  This class is designed to provide students with additional opportunities for success with arithmetic and basic algebra concepts.
