HS ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

 

 

The following academic programs are offered to the students of River Ridge High School.  Within each program various classes are offered to meet both the vocational and college prep students schedule.  The mission at River Ridge is to ensure that students graduate with serviceable skills and knowledge in the fundamental areas of reading, writing, math, science, social studies, health, and phys. ed..  Also the instruction of foreign languages is provided.   Students must take a minimum of "six" letter graded courses each semester.  Eighth grade teachers provide recommendations for student placement in high school English and Math courses.  Students that receive straight A's and have a 4.0 or higher grade point average are listed on the A Honor Roll.  Students receiving a 3.5 or higher grade point average with no grade below a C are listed on the High Honor Roll.  To be listed on the Honor Roll a student must earn a 3.0 or higher grade point average with no grades below a C.
